Alexander Shokhin appreciated the idea of a four-day work week
Option four-day workweek may not like the Russians themselves, as long as the possibility of earnings is more important for them to gain more free time, said the head of RSPP Alexander Shokhin in an interview with RIA Novosti at the Eastern economic forum.
"In the current situation where the real disposable incomes of Russians do not grow for six years, to people the value of earning, unfortunately, is higher than the value of free time," he said.
"There are alternatives - free time or income if a person is to provide the opportunity to work three or four days a week, not the fact that he will relax, do something else, maybe start to earn some money, and then instead of trying to give the opportunity to develop personality, we at the jelly load these same people," - said the head of RSPP.
For the first time about the possibility of introducing in the future a four-day workweek as the basis of social and labor contract announced in early June, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. A number of experts and officials have expressed doubts about the possibility of introducing such practices in the near future.
